This article examines the publications on Russian Sinology published in the Chinese journal “International Sinology,” which was established as a leading academic journal in 2014. The aim of the study is to trace the evolution of the topics and research approaches of Chinese scholars united within this platform in the study of Russian Sinology, as well as to identify their contribution and place within the system of contemporary international Sinology.

The article examines the process of reformatting the relations of geopolitical players in the South Caucasus after the second Karabakh War in 2020 and the beginning of the Russian Civil War. The analysis of the confrontation between the world powers for the right to control the transport communications of the region is presented.

Based on the analysis of modern political processes, the article examines strategies and practices for overcoming protracted territorial differences between Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the Ferghana Valley region.

The article is devoted to a historiographical review of the works of Soviet and modern Russian researchers on the issue of relations between the Communist Party of China and the United States duringthe period of 1941–1945. The historiographical review combines publicationsfromthe late 1940s to the beginning of the 21st century and is divided into three stages, each of which has its own distinctive features. The research focuses on the analysis of the evolution of methodological approaches and assessments of key aspects of bilateral cooperation.

The article examines the models of Asian regional organizations using the examples of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The study emphasizes the diversity of integration models shaped by historical, political, and economic factors. It analyzes the institutional foundations, areas of activity, and current priorities of these organizations.

Socialist integration is rarely examined in Regional Studies. At the same time most of the assessments of socialist cooperation based on theories of regionalism are shallow and declarative. The author makes an attempt to define which type of international regionalism socialist integration belongs to. Similarities and differences between socialist integration and historical types of regionalism are identified by using the comparative method.

The article examines the process of NATO enlargement during the Cold War in the context of ongoing geopolitical processes. An assessment of the domestic political and socio-economic consequences of Greece, Turkey, Germany and Spain’s integration into the North Atlantic Alliance is given. The author concludesthat during NATO enlargement inthe Cold Wartime, certain approaches to working with potential candidates for membership were developed, which were used then in the post-bipolar period.

The article presentsthe historical and legal aspects ofthe Ukrainian crisis inthe context ofthe development ofmodern international law. The events in Ukraine in 2014–2024 actualized many institutions of modern international law: the hierarchy of principles of territorial integrity of states and the right of peoples to self-determination, the problem of secession and the role of referendums in the creation of new independent states, the issue of their recognition in the international arena and the protection of compatriots abroad.
