ПРОБЛЕМЫ РИМСКОЙ ДЕМОГРАФИИ ПЕРИОДА ПОЗДНЕЙ РЕСПУБЛИКИ В НОВЕЙШЕЙ ЗАРУБЕЖНОЙ ЛИТЕРАТУРЕ
В статье рассматриваются новейшие исследования представителей зарубежной историографии, посвящённые демографическому развитию Рима в период Республики. Автор анализирует наиболее значимые реконструкции, представленные в работах Э. Ло Кашио, Л. де Лигта, С. Гин и других. Он выделяет основные проблемы, которые необходимо разрешить для получения достоверной картины демографического развития Рима в указанный период. К их числу относятся уточнение функций и критериев римского ценза, а также определение факторов, которые оказывали наибольшее влияние на результаты переписей населения.
