Аннотация: 

Придерживаясь проблемно-тематического метода изложения материала при исследовании внутрисистемных изменений, происходящих в арктической подсистеме международных отношений в настоящее время, автор остановился на конкретных аспектах: военная стратегия Вашингтона, природа и природные ресурсы, экологические, социально-экономические проблемы, разработка месторождений полезных ископаемых в сложных природных условиях, проблемы сельского хозяйства, медико-биологические и санитарно-гигиенические направления.
