Неолиберальный подход к исследованию проблем обеспечения безопасности

В настоящей статье проведен анализ исследования проблем обеспечения безопасности с позиции неолиберализма на примере двух межправительственных организаций (Европейский союз и НАТО), рассматриваются особенности трансатлантического сотрудничества, дается характеристика институтов в сравнении с трактовками неореалистского подхода. НАТО и Евросоюз выступают примером автономности международных институтов.

The main directions of NATO interaction with the states of Central Asia in the XXI century

The article examines NATO’s interaction with Central Asian states in bilateral and multilateral formats over the past 20 years. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the Afghan factor in the relations of the parties. The author concludes that for several decades NATO has purposely tried to strengthen its geopolitical position in Central Asia in order to reduce Russia’s influence on regional security processes. 

“New Eastern Policy” of Willy Brandt and Bundeswehr in 1969–1974

The article based on archival and published materials analyses the attitude of the members of the higher and lower structures of the Bundeswehr to the “new eastern policy” of Chancellor Willy Brandt and the influence of the latter on the development of the armed forces of West Germany in 1969–1974. It is demonstrated that privates and junior officers supported the foreign policy course of W. Brandt on detente in relations with the socialist bloc.

На основе архивных и опубликованных материалов проанализировано отношение высшего и низшего состава бундесвера к «новой восточной политике» канцлера Вилли Брандта и влияние последней на развитие вооруженных сил Западной Германии в 1969–1974 гг. Продемонстрирована поддержка внешнеполитического курса В. Брандта на разрядку в отношениях с социалистическим блоком со стороны рядовых и младших офицеров.

The structure of the Central Treaty Organization and its comparison with other military-political blocs

Created in 1955, the military-political bloc in the Near and Middle East, called the Central Treaty Organization (SENTO), had a pronounced pro-Western and anti-Soviet character. This article examines the organizational structure of the bloc, other regional military-political organizations created by Western countries in the 40s and 50s of the XX century.

Perspectives of the ‘New Silk Road’ Strategy in the context of NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan

The article focused on the issue of implementation of the ‘New Silk Road’ strategy. Author analyses the key conditions, risks and opportunities, which may affect the success of the Project. It also examined the role of Central Asian countries, as well as the Mid Eastern partners, China and Russia in the field strengthening of regional security after 2014

SCO IN THE GLOBAL ENCIRCLEMENT OF CRITICISM АGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF THE ACTIVE U. S. BASE POLICYIN THE «GREAT CENTRAL ASIA»

SCO actions in Central Asia (CA) are often become criticized by NATO and its loyal states. The key reasons for that are named to be the military trainings run by SCO and its close ties with Iran as it is a non-official member there or one of the SCO’s observers. The article offers various opinions both amiable and critical with regard to SCO expressed by the world community. The next part of the article describes the US policy for basing its troops in the region and a general situation regarding Pentagon’s military bases located in the CA and Pakistan.

The evolution of NATO’s approaches to the situation in the Balkans in the 1990s –2000s

The article analyses the change of the organization’s position concerning the situation in the Balkans in the 1990s-2000s on the basis of official documents. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the evolution of the Alliance’s approaches to the building of policy in the Balkan region in the context of its participation in the crisis management and peacekeeping operations within the territory of former Yugoslavia.

The first stage of NATO’s regional strategy elaboration in the context of geopolitical changes in the first half of 1990s.

The article examines the first stage of NATO’s regional strategy elaboration in 1990–1995 in the context of fundamental changes of geopolitical situation in the world. General analysis of methods, which NATO used to reformat strategically significant regions is carried out. Special attention is paid to a  study of subjects, which connected with the process of NATO’s partnership programs ‘creation, the Alliance’s globalization, shaping of specific « Balkan » model of organization’s regional strategy.

АЛБАНСКИЙ ФАКТОР В РЕГИОНАЛЬНОЙ СТРАТЕГИИ НАТО НА БАЛКАНАХ В 1990-2000-Е ГОДЫ

В статье анализируется общая схема использования албанского национализма в качестве специфического инструмента реализации региональной стратегии НАТО на Балканах в 1990–2000-е годы. Особое внимание уделяется рассмотрению позиции Североатлантического альянса по албанскому вопросу в Сербии и Македонии во время подготовки и проведения операций и миссий Альянса. Кроме того проводится анализ отношений НАТО с Албанией в контексте изменений архитектуры региональной безопасности и рассматриваются геополитические последствия принятия данного государства в ряды организации.
