The British Army in 1930s: Activity of Secretaries of State for War A. Duff Cooper and L. Hore-Belisha

The article reviews the activities of Secretaries of State for War of Great Britain, Alfred Duff Cooper and Leslie Hore-Belisha on specific issues of modernization of British land forces during the period of 1936–1939. The work is based mainly on archival material: memoranda and conclusions of the British Cabinet, which are available on the official site of the National Archives of Great Britain.

The Question of the USSR’s Potential Enemies in Potential War in 1920s

The article examines Russian relations with potential adversaries in the interwar period. The author systematizes a number of diplomatic Anti-Soviet Acts and the ranking of states threatening the USSR’s foreign policy during 1920s.

THE SEARCH OF THE NEW VECTORS OF RUSSIAN FOREIGN POLICY IN EUROPE AT THE BEGINNING OF 1920S

The article defines the major points of Russian foreign policy in Europe in 1920s. Author analyses relations between USSR and European countries during the period of temporary balance in the mechanism of decision making due to the pressure on Stalin and his supporters by the opposition inside the Communist Party.

Financial aspects of relations between Soviet Union and France in the mid 1920s

The article examine bilateral economic relations between France and Soviet Union  during 1920s. Author analyses documents and materials of Political Bureau of the Communist Party focused on Soviet approaches toward the issues of foreign dept, mutual obligations and financial disputes and issues.

The article is devoted to the rifle corps of the Red Army, whose headquarters were established in Saratov.
