A. F. Labzin’s Conceptualization of a Man: Ethical Aspect

Labzin, the Moscow University graduate, Novikovsky coterie’s disciple, Masonic Lodge founder and vice-president of Imperial Art Academy. Some peculiarities of spiritual life of Russian intellectuals in the first fourth of XIX century are revealed based on analysis of his ethical views (using Zion Bulletin periodical)

Private Libraries in Russia: A.S. Norov’ Library

Private book collections – is an integral part of the cultural environment of the Russian educated society of the first half of the XIX century. The library of an outstanding state and political figure, a scholar, an ardent bibliophile A.S. Norov is a book treasury. In the article the process of the collecting his two libraries is considered. Magazine «Zion Bulletin» – Reflection of A. F. Labzin ideas

In the center of attention of the article author is the magazine “Zion Bulletin” that was issued in 1806–1817 by disciple of Novicov’s coterie, the founder of freemason’s lodge and the vice-president of the Imperial Academy of Arts A. F. Labzin. Multivariate analysis of the magazine articles allows to produce it’s religious-philosophical concept and to discover some peculiarities of world outlook of an Alexandrovsky time person.

Representative Tasks of Power in Soviet Massmedia in 1920th

In this article the author considers the problem of organization and development of soviet massmedia of the 1920, through the representative tasks of power. Besides, we learn the peculiarities of massmedia development conditions. The author picks out the journals, which realize political tasks. He gives the characteristics of all the groups.

Some Traces of the Classical Tradition in the Culture of the Russian Provinces in the First Half of the Nineteenth Century: Ivan F. Sinaisky as a Hellenist in Saratov

The article gives the most important examples of classicism in the culture of Saratov province namely in architecture and education. The author focuses his attention on the activities of Ivan F. Sinaisky (1799–1870) as a teacher in Greek both in Gymnasium and in Orthodox Theological Seminary in Saratov. Works translated by I. Sinaisky from Greek, his manuals and dictionaries for those who learned Greek, as well as his articles on Greek and Greek authors are being considered in the context of Russian and European classicism.

FRENCH MEDIEVAL LITERATURE IN HISTORICAL CONCEPT OF HUMANIST E. PASQUIER

The paper deals with a problem of reception of medieval French literature during the Renaissance in France. The auther claimes the thesis of formation of two points of view with that matter. The critical one formed by theoriciens of «Pleiade», and evolutional by humanist and Ronsard’s friend E. Pasquier. The late proposed the concept of unity of medieval and Renaissance French literature as well as unity of literature of langu’d’oil and langue d’oc and stating the influence of oxitaine literature on the genesis of early Renaissance Italian poesy.

The Formation of the Soviet Festive Culture and Perculiarities of its Perception in the Public Mind in 1917 – 1920th.

Soviet power was actively developing the festive culture in the revolutionary period which was aimed at the formation in the social consciousness the power’s conception. But the festive representation was addressed to the proletariat owing to its external expression and form. The urban population of the capitals and other provincial cities, peasantry whose mentality didn’t correspond to the proletarian holidays stayed out of the festive culture. Their holiday’s perception was far from the desired result which the soviet power strived to achieve.

The progressive views of the enlightener are asserted on the basis of the carried-out analysis.

The Formation of the Cultural and Educational Environment During the Years of the Civil War in Saratov Gubernia (Based on the Materials of Balashov District)

Having come to power, the Bolsheviks along with socio-economic, political, state and legal transformations began cultural and educational changes. The paper attempts to consider the formation of Soviet culture and education in the Russian province using the example and materials of one of the uyezds of Saratov gubernia. The author comes to the conclusion that the undertakings of the uyezd authorities in this sphere of public life were not well thought out and organized.
