ПОСТСОВЕТСКОЕ ПРОСТРАНСТВО

The article examines NATO’s interaction with Central Asian states in bilateral and multilateral formats over the past 20 years. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the Afghan factor in the relations of the parties. The author concludes that for several decades NATO has purposely tried to strengthen its geopolitical position in Central Asia in order to reduce Russia’s influence on regional security processes. 

The article analyzes the historical roots of the Eurasian Idea, the pro- ject of the Eurasian Union how it was represented in political discus- sion of the leaders of «Eurasian countries». Author traces the sources of formation and stages of development of the Eurasian Union, as well as perception of this project within the political elite and the expert community of prospective members.

The article is devoted to the study of the geo-political changes in Central Asia. The expansion of China’s influence and Russia’s weakening are analyzed. The author defines the factors that Russia can oppose to the prospects for transforming this region into Pax Sinica

This article deals with the Eastern Partnership Program. It is an initiative of the European Union governing its relationship with the post-Soviet states – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Particular attention is given to border cooperation, including the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Support Programme

The article focuses on the main Russian concerns on the way of the Eurasian integration process. The author analyses real and potential obstacles for the Eurasian union during the competition between Russia and other players in the region such as China, the US and the EU. The article gives some forecasts on the development of integration and disintegration tendencies in Eurasia. Some author’s conclusions might be used for the improvement of Russian foreign policy course.

Данная статья посвящена исследованию серьезных трансформаций в системе международных отношений после распада Советского Союза, после которого государства постсоветского пространства были вынуждены выстраивать свою собственную внешнеполитическую линию. Автор также анализирует внешнюю политику Казахстана в контексте формирования новой системы международных отношений. 

В статье рассмотрены некоторые вызовы евразийской экономической интеграции в условиях продолжающегося мирового экономического кризиса и их влияние на динамику взаимодействия государств в рамках ЕАЭС. Автор анализирует как внутренние, так и внешние факторы угроз и вызовов евразийской интеграции, а также степень их влияния на потенциал сотрудничества. Особое внимание уделяется вопросам взаимодействия стран ЕАЭС с китайским проектом Экономического пояса нового шелкового пути.

В статье рассмотрены процессы изменения архитектуры европейской безопасности в контексте трансформации современной стратегии НАТО. Автор анализирует вопросы нового военного строительства и новых подходов к взаимодействию между Россией и странами Запада в области безопасности. Нынешний этап пересмотра взаимоотношений представляется в качестве отправной точки для корректировки подходов сторон к вопросам взаимного диалога и сотрудничества.

В статье анализируется ситуация в области безопасности Каспийского региона на рубеже XX века в условиях борьбы с международным терроризмом. При этом особое внимание автор уделяет исследованию позиции Казахстана по вопросам обеспечения безопасности в регионе и его сотрудничеству с региональными игроками и внешними акторами
