Collaboration of the countries of the British Commonwealth of Nations (Australia, Canada, New Zealand) on the issue of preserving the indigenous peoples’ cultural heritage

The article provides an overview of current topics in Russian and foreign research on indigenous issues, on the basis of which the interest and low study degree of collaboration of the British Commonwealth of Nations countries on the issue of preserving the indigenous peoples’ cultural heritage is shown. Using materials from original sources, the article highlights the history of relations among the native peoples and colonists of Australia, Canada and New Zealand in the 18th – 21st centuries.

Emigration of British minors to Canada: Reasons for resettlement from Great Britain

The article examines the circumstances of emigration of children from Great Britain in the XIX–ХХ centuries based on the material of the sources. It is proved that the resettlement was caused by the pauperization of the urban population in the conditions of industrialization. In Canada, minors could be adopted or work on farms, as servants, receiving maintenance and wages. The children had to go to school. It was a prerequisite.

Paradiplomacy of the Canadian Province Ontario in the 21st Century

The article examines the paradiplomatic activity of the Canadian province Ontario which is one of the most active entities of Canada in the international arena of the XXI century. The author pays attention to the main Ontario’s directions of international activity and the relation of the province’s paradiplomacy with the policy of the Federal center in the XXI century. The article also considers the main reasons for the development of paradiplomacy in Canada.
