On Establishment of the Russian Censorship in the First Quarter of 18th century

The article examines the process of press censorship establishment in the environment of reforms that encompassed all spheres of life of the society in the first quarter of 18th century.

Representative Tasks of Power in Soviet Massmedia in 1920th

In this article the author considers the problem of organization and development of soviet massmedia of the 1920, through the representative tasks of power. Besides, we learn the peculiarities of massmedia development conditions. The author picks out the journals, which realize political tasks. He gives the characteristics of all the groups.

Censorship Policy of Catherine the Great in 1762–1771

The article considers the first initiatives of the Russian Empress Catherine the Great in question of Censorship. The article gives an account of the state controlling of book printing, book delivery and book banning in the second half of 18th century. The great interest is the analysis of the public opinion in question of Catherine’s censorship reforms.

Interaction of Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Press under the Ministry of A. P. Izvolsky

The article considers history of cooperation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the press under the ministry of A. P. Izvolsky, based on materials of Archive of Russian Empire Foreign Policy, which has not previously been the object of a special historical research for the specified period of time. Key directions of work with the press are determined and characterized. Special attention is given to the organization of telegraph agency work, a primary source of information that newspapers based their publication materials on.
