The article considers the main directions of France’s migration policy at the turn of 20th – 21st centuries and focuses on the measures taken by the French government to regulate migration policy. The author concludes that nowadays a lot of work has been done in the country to solve the problem of migration, which has slightly weakened migration flows.

The article, based on Russian periodic press, deals with the tragic fate of the Armenian people who were subjected to deportation and genocide during the First World War, The author analyzes the causes and stages of the genocide, reveals the mechanism of the Armenian population’s destruction.

Восстание 1916 г. имело самые трагические последствия, как для внешнеполитического престижа России, так и для экономического развития Семиречья. В случае победы повстанцев существовала реальная угроза вторжения иностранных войск со стороны Афганистана под руководством Германии и Турции. Жертвами этой трагедии стал весь многонациональный народ Семиречья, обеспечивавший продовольственную поддержку воюющей армии и тылу, что нанесло непоправимый удар по всей государственной системе Российской империи.

The given article considers problems related to the lack of working hands in agricultural sector of Saratov province during World War I. The author concludes that general mobilization most of all effected landlords’ farms of the province. One of the ways to solve the problem of workforce shortage was the wide-spread use of prisoners of war and refugees.
