Based on an analysis of a wide range of archival sources, the authors attempted to conduct a comprehensive analysis of Nazi crimes against children in the occupied territories of Donbas in 1942–1943. Specific examples were used to illustrate the main types of crimes committed by Nazi occupiers against children in Donbas. They concluded that all these atrocities were part of a systematic Nazi policy of exterminating civilians, based on racist ideology and the desire for victory at any cost.

The article is an attempt to construct a historical biography of one of the key figures of the revolutionary era in Russia of the early 20^th century – "artist" of terror, G.A. Gershuni. The author analyzes the performance of the SRs’ military organization leader on the basis of personal and official documents and tries to create a historical and psychological portrait of Gregory Gershuni.
