The article considers the influence of the University Statute of 1884 on the organization of everyday learning at Kazan University in the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The Statute of 1884 and additional acts to it required university teachers to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Education all issues related to the educational process, up to the distribution of classrooms.
