The development of Czech cities in the post-Hussite period as a prerequisite for the emergence of Czech printing

The article attempts to identify the economic prerequisites for the emergence of printing in the Czech Republic. The author analyzes the economic development of Czech cities in the post-Hussite period, analyzes the main privileges that cities were given or confirmed by their owners, as well as the development of crafts and trade in them.

The cultural and historical role of Czech book printing in the XVI–early XVII centuries

The article discusses the development of book printing in the Czech in the 16th – early 17th centuries, two periods in the development of Czech book printing are distinguished: 1501–1547 and after the events of 1547 until the Battle of White Mountain. The author reveals the changes that have taken place in the working conditions of printing houses, the attitude of the royal authorities to book printing, the repertoire of Czech printed books, the number of published products. 

THE WORKS OF EUROPEAN HUMANISTS IN THE REPERTORYOF THE CZECH BOOK PRINTING IN ITS EARLY PERIOD (1468–1620)

The paper focuses on the repertory of the Czech book printing in its early period (1468–1620). The author reveals the place that wasoccupied by the works of European humanists; ad also traces their influence on the spiritual life of the Czech.
